Campus Credit · Payments
Collect the fee in the same flow they register.
Application fees, registration, tuition, and deposits — collected online the moment a student applies or enrolls, with no separate checkout tool and less drop-off between registration and payment. Set pricing per program, offer payment plans, and watch what's collected, outstanding, and on deposit in real time.
Finance is a foundational Campus Credit capability, used across fee-based workflows.
Checkout
The payment shouldn't live in a different tool than the enrollment.
When registration and checkout are two systems, the seam is where money and students leak out — abandoned carts, unreconciled payments, and deposits nobody can find.
Campus Credit collects the fee in the same guided flow the student is already in — tied to their record and reconciled automatically — while Stripe handles the card securely. Free and state-funded programs run the same way, without a fee.
Fees, deposits, plans, and reconciliation — across every workflow.
Finance is a foundational function in Campus Credit: wherever there's a fee — an application, a registration, tuition, a trip, a deposit — it's collected, tracked, and reconciled in the same place the enrollment happens.
Pay in the same flow
The fee is collected at application or registration — no second tool, and less drop-off between registering and checking out.
Price each program your way
Set the fee, currency, deposit, and any early-registration discount right on the program.
Payment plans
Let students split a fee into installments — the schedule is tracked and reminders go out automatically.
Deposits & refunds
Collect a deposit up front and issue refunds when needed — reconciled across every workflow.
Collected, outstanding, on deposit
A real-time financial summary per program — not a spreadsheet you reconcile at month-end.
Secure card processing
Cards are processed on Stripe's PCI-compliant infrastructure — Campus Credit never stores card numbers.
Pricing lives on the program — right next to schedule and required documents.
Set the fee amount and currency, add a deposit or an early-registration discount, and turn on a payment plan if you offer one. Free and state-funded programs simply run without a fee — the same setup, minus the charge.
PROGRAM PRICING
Configure the money the same place you configure the program.
Coordinators set schedule, capacity, and pricing from one screen — no SIS ticket to add a fee. Change the amount, add a deposit, or open a payment plan without leaving the program.

Optional deposit and early-registration discount
Turn on a payment plan; free programs run fee-free
Program Pricing
Checkout is a step in the flow — not a link to another site.
Where a fee is required, the student completes the application, uploads documents, and pays — all in one guided sequence. When required, payment can be enforced before submission, and the card is handled securely inside the flow.
ONE GUIDED FLOW
Register and pay in one sitting — one flow, no separate tool.
Because payment is part of the same flow, there's less room for a student to fall through the gap between "applied" and "paid." When a fee is required, payment can be enforced before submission — so what reaches your staff is already paid and complete.

International Student Application
Let students pay over time — tracked and reminded automatically.
For higher-fee programs, split the total into installments on a set schedule. Campus Credit records each payment against the student and sends reminders as the next installment comes due — no manual follow-up.
INSTALLMENTS
A bigger fee, made payable — without the manual chase.
Split, say, a $1,200 certification into three payments. The student sees the schedule; you see who's paid and who's due. Reminders send automatically, and every installment reconciles to the same record.

Payment Plan
Collected, outstanding, and on deposit — live, per program.
Every payment ties to the student and the program, so the financial picture is always current: what's come in, what's still owed, and what's held on deposit — with revenue ready to export for state apportionment and workforce reporting.
PROGRAM FINANCES
Real-time revenue, not a month-end reconciliation.
Watch fees collected, balances outstanding, and deposits pending from the same screen you run the program. Refunds and payments post to the record, and revenue exports cleanly for the reports you already have to file.

Program Finances
Proof of funds — uploaded once, tied to the record, tracked to verified.
Some programs — international admissions especially — need a student to show they can cover the cost before they're cleared. The student uploads their financial documents; the file attaches to their account, enters finance review, and is tracked from submitted to verified. If something falls short, the reviewer requests an update and the student resubmits in place.
FINANCIAL ELIGIBILITY
Not every financial step is a charge — some are proof.
Bank statements, sponsorship letters, or institutional funding are uploaded by the student and stored securely against their record — not emailed as attachments. Finance review confirms the funds cover tuition, living costs, and fees for the program's duration, and every document's status is tracked so nothing sits unreviewed.

Proof of Funds
The card transaction runs on Stripe.
Campus Credit manages the workflow — fee logic, deposits, plans, refunds, and reconciliation. Stripe securely processes the card transaction. You run the money side; Stripe carries the card and the compliance load.
Cards are processed on Stripe's PCI-compliant infrastructure — encrypted end to end.
Campus Credit never holds card numbers — Stripe handles the sensitive details.
Funds settle to your institution's account through Stripe on your schedule.
Collect in the currency each program is priced in — set right on the program.
Payment where the enrollment already is — reconciled, not re-keyed.
The win isn't just taking a card; it's that the payment, the student, and the enrollment stay on one record — so nothing leaks between systems.
The payment happens where the workflow already is — no hand-off to a separate checkout tool.
Every payment, deposit, and refund ties to the student and enrollment — not a separate ledger.
PCI-compliant processing on Stripe, with no card data stored inside Campus Credit.
Revenue exports cleanly for state apportionment and workforce reporting.
Every fee, deposit, installment, and refund is logged on the record with who paid and when — a defensible trail for reconciliation, audits, and program-revenue reporting, instead of matching a processor's export to a spreadsheet by hand.
The questions your business office will ask.
How gateways, payouts, merchant-of-record, refunds, and card data work with Campus Credit and Stripe.
Campus Credit includes Stripe as the standard payment gateway. If your institution requires a different payment provider — such as TouchNet, Nelnet, Flywire, or another campus-approved processor — that would be handled as custom development and quoted during the proposal process.
Yes. Campus Credit does not hold institutional funds. Payments are processed through Stripe, and funds settle through the institution's Stripe / payment setup according to the configuration established during implementation.
Stripe supports connected-account models where the connected account can be treated as the merchant of record, depending on the charge configuration.
This depends on the Stripe configuration used for the institution. Per Stripe's documentation, with direct charges the connected account is the merchant of record; with certain indirect charges using on_behalf_of, the connected account can also be the merchant of record.
Campus Credit defines this during implementation with the institution's business office and Stripe setup.
Stripe is included as the standard payment provider. Other providers can be evaluated, but they are not included by default. If the institution requires TouchNet, Nelnet, Flywire, or another processor, Campus Credit would scope and quote that integration as custom development during the proposal process.
Refunds are processed through Stripe or the institution's configured payment process. Stripe supports full and partial refunds through the Stripe Dashboard or API.
Campus Credit can track the refund status on the student / program record, so staff can see whether a payment is paid, refunded, outstanding, waived, or on deposit.
No. Card numbers are handled by Stripe, not stored in Campus Credit — Stripe handles the sensitive payment information.
Stripe is certified as a PCI Level 1 Service Provider, and PCI compliance is a shared responsibility between Stripe and the business using Stripe.
Yes. Campus Credit can support fee-based, free, state-funded, waived, and invoice-based workflows. If a payment is waived, the student can continue without paying, and the waiver is tracked on the record.
For invoicing, Stripe supports hosted invoices and invoice payment links, and Campus Credit can track the invoice / payment status as part of the student or program record.
Note: Gateway, payout, and merchant-of-record configuration are finalized with your institution's business office during implementation. Provider integrations beyond Stripe are scoped and quoted during the proposal process.
